This event celebrates 100 years since the first meeting of 4 societies which has evolved to become known as the Association of Scottish Philatelic Societies. As hosts for the event Dundee & District Philatelic Society have produced a Cover to mark the event.

The cover commemorates the fact that the concept of the Association was conceived in 1923 through the efforts of a member of the Dundee Society Dr. A. E. Kidd. A cancellation has also been approved by Royal Mail which will be used for the event

The winner of the Alan Watson Memorial Competion, which is judged by those members of the public who attended the exhibition, was Alexander Kerr with his entry of "Swap only that Nora", which was an innovate use of the letters symbolising "Alan Watson Trophy".
This year the Host Society displays were judged by the immediate ex-President Colin Caskie and the President elect Alex Walker who judged the winning display to be "Germany: States to Germania 1849-1900" by Harry Jackson who received the "Robert Burns Quaich" during the Annual Dinner.
On Friday night the Tom Rielly display was given by Captain James Podger FRPSL with a display entitled 'British West
Indies Postal History'.
Details of the display can be found in the Tom Rielly section of the website or by clicking here.
Following the Tom Rielly display a civic welcome hosted by Bailie Chris Ahern of Perth & Kinross Council was held in the Dewars Centre which was very well attended.
This was then followed by the Congress Dinner. A thoroughly entertaining after dinner speech was given by our Guest of
Honour, Graham Winters FRPSL and the evening was rounded off when the Scottish Congress competition winners were awarded
